The Batsheva Dance Company are celebrated around the world for their energetic choreographies. The unmistakeable Batsheva style consists of complex series of movements performed at widely varying speeds and with breath-taking precision. It is based on the Gaga method, developed by Ohad Naharin, in which the dancers develop a dynamic awareness of every part of their body, of time and of space.
The choreographies fluctuate between charged silence and pulsing explosions. In his latest work, VENEZUELA, which premièred in May 2017 in Tel Aviv, Naharin and his company examine the relationship between movement, performance and content.
A production of Batsheva Dance Company. A coproduction with HELLERAU – European Center for the Arts Dresden and Théâtre National de Chaillot, Paris.
The tour is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
